The
villa is situated within a ten minute walk to golden sandy beaches
in Colakli. The crystal clear Mediterranean sea lapping
the shore. There you can take part in many watersports activities
including Paragliding, jet skis and Banana Boats. Alternatively there is now a free shuttle service from Aquarius Villas to Fizz Beach a short drive away. The bus will come and collect you from the villas and take you to the beach where you may use the free sunbeds and shade with food and drink service from the beach bar. By night this becomes a restaurant and often offers entertainment including “Turkish nights” with live music and belly dancing. A ten minute taxi or Dolmus ride will get you to the bustling Old Town of Side with its ancient ruins and harbour area. There you will find bars, restaurants and shops galore selling everything from Turkish delight to leather goods , clothing and jewellery. At the end of the peninsular stands the impressive Temple of Apollo and Athena, a must see, particularly at sunset. Inside the city gates to Side is the stunning 20,000 seat amphitheatre which hosts Jazz and classical concerts at varying times of the year. Nearby is the Roman museum containing a cross section of locally unearthed objects. Side is flanked by two excellent beaches of Golden sand, East and West Beach. The Taurus Mountains loom in the background offering stunning scenery. If you have a car Alanya is an hour away and well worth a visit. The Castle offers fantastic views for miles around, beautiful beaches stretch for miles and there are boat trips available to see inside secluded caves. These often include time for snorkelling around the fabulous coastline and lunch. Half an hour the other side of Alanya is the Dimcay River. Here you can sit and eat with your feet in the river or lounge around on floating rafts. After take a dip in the clear waters and have fun on the slides.
